OKX vs Busha, Quidax and Luno: A Nigeria Comparison Checklist

Start with the task: buying with naira, selling for naira, or moving assets. Confirm resident eligibility and the relevant service before comparing executable quotes. Regulatory admission, bank settlement, account access and referral terms are different evidence. This comparison does not award a winner from unverified fees, a public advertisement or a global product page.

Short answer: Start with the task: buying with naira, selling for naira, or moving assets. Confirm resident eligibility and the relevant service before comparing executable quotes. Regulatory admission, bank settlement, account access and referral terms are different evidence. This comparison does not award a winner from unverified fees, a public advertisement or a global product page.

The comparison starts before fees

For each candidate, record the exact entity, the dated SEC evidence, resident onboarding, the specific product and settlement method. The table below marks account-specific fields unverified rather than importing a global feature list into a Nigeria recommendation.

ARIP Approval-in-Principle is conditional admission, not a final licence or a guarantee of repayment. A regulator’s announcement may concern one local entity without covering every product offered under a global brand.

Use two route worksheets

For buying, compare the same all-in NGN budget and net USDT delivered. For selling, compare the same USDT amount and net usable NGN. Include order limits, quote expiry, separately charged withdrawal costs and the conditions for settlement.

An exchange with a lower quoted trading fee can have a higher total cost on your route. A direct settlement route and a P2P route also involve different counterparties and dispute processes; the fee alone does not describe those differences.

Why Binance and OKX need separate status checks

The official OKX campaign FAQ includes NGN but does not prove that all Nigerian residents can open accounts or receive referral benefits. Binance’s March 2024 NGN service discontinuation and the SEC’s July 2023 warning concerning binance.com are separate evidence items. We have not verified a rescission of that warning.

Referral links for OKX and Binance are listed at the end of this page; local promotion rules and Nigerian regional partner eligibility remain unresolved. Historical referral codes and general advertising pages are not proof that a particular reader is eligible today.

How to choose what to investigate next

If your task is getting naira into a bank account, prioritise the actual settlement route and a quote for your amount. If it is moving assets, check the exact supported network and withdrawal conditions. If it is record keeping, inspect the available statements and references.

This gives you a shortlist of questions, not a platform endorsement. Revisit a comparison when access, terms, costs or your transaction size changes.

ARIP Approval-in-Principle is conditional, not a final licence. A public page or advertisement does not prove account eligibility.

Check the exact provider entity, activity and date in the SEC circular. ARIP Approval-in-Principle is conditional admission and is not a final licence. This page does not establish that a named service may accept or solicit a Nigerian resident.

Regulator: Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The July 2026 SEC circular names KuCoin Nigeria and GIGX; the August circular adds other entities. A short directory page should not be presented as an exhaustive current list. Absence of an entry alone is not a complete legal assessment.

Use the source date and the conditions for your own task. Missing evidence stays unknown; it is not a zero fee or a permission to register.

Referral eligibility checked 9 September 2026: Binance’s official referral terms exclude Nigerian residents or Nigerian nationals as referrers and referred applicants. This concerns referral participation, not a blanket account-access finding. OKX registration links remain paused pending verification of Nigerian eligibility and regional affiliate terms.
